Welcome to world

My name is Riem. I am a half Saudi, half German, Californian at heart , Resource Therapy Practitioner & Certified professional Life Coach and Conflict Coach.
I was a few years old when I declared I wanted to be at service to people. A nurse ( like my mom and grandmother) or maybe a doctor. Belly dancer was on the table too . I was probably in my early teens when I decided I wanted to study psychology. and so i did . For my BA, I majored in Psychology, with a minor in Communication, from California State University, Dominguez Hills, USA. During that time, I worked for Niswa, the Islam Women Shelter in California and later on for Lufthansa International Airlines at Los Angeles Airport.
Once i moved back to Saudi in 2002, i worked for various organizations including the Nursing college and the United Nation. Deep inside , i was feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied especially that i was no longer in alignment with true calling . So i moved to Berlin, Germany to complete my MA in Intercultural Conflict Management at Alice Salomon University. As a multiracial and a third culture kid who lives in a world filled with cultural clashes, this sounded like a perfect fit.
While I enjoyed my studies but the feelings of fulfillment didn't last long . Afterwards, i moved on to work in places where i was incredibly overqualified and underpaid . I continued to fulfilling my passion by helping people fix their problems - or i should say , by fixing their problems myself, even if they didn't ask for my help . Needles to say , it had a negative effect on my overall well-being and on my relationships . No one likes to be told what to do especially when someone imposes their own views & values on them.
I started to feel incredibly unhappy with my life. Then on an August night in 2011 , I went on a night dive that, let’s say, confronted me with my reality and I knew I had to change something in my life. So, I took a leap of faith, said good bye to my routine at that time and dedicated a year out of my life to become a personal and professional coach at Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) in Los Angeles. And so I was back on track. During that time I enhanced my mediation skills by registering at the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution in Los Angeles, California. Through iPEC, I also became an Energy Leadership ™ Index Master Practitioner and months after that, I became an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation. It wasn't until I studied to become a life coach that I finally learned what it means to honer other people's journeys and give them the space & support for them to fix their own lives if they choose to . After all, they are the experts of their lives.
My next move was to be trained as a Resource Therapy Practitioner with the wonderful Dr. Gordon Emerson. RT is great tool that helps individuals work directly with the conflicting parts in them .
On another note, i also became an ISO Quality Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 . Yes, they do complement in each other. Coaching focuses on quality of living while ISO focuses on quality of work . To access my resume, please visit my linkedin page
I have also learned to embrace my inner witch and allow her to guide me. This is how the Fairy Mama was created . she ..............................
I love to go on hikes and scuba dive , though i had to take a break due to some health reasons . I also love to use oracle and tarot cards . No, i do not tell the future but does empower us to connect with our creativity and intuition .
And this is how I came to be the coach I am today.
Today, my vision is to create a community of people who are empowered and empower others, love who they are and lead lives they enjoy. My role as a coach is to empower and work with people to find their passion and help them create a life of confidence, fulfillment and abundance.
